Resource utilization and recycling of mineral materials (mudstone, slag, perlite, etc.)

The rapidly advancing technology enables humans to enjoy the conveniences offered by high-tech innovations. However, it also deposits numerous technological byproducts into the environment, warranting immediate attention. Our laboratory, embracing the concept of urban mining, strives to transform mineral materials from daily life into valuable resources. For example, mudstone is transformed into waterproof coatings and the far-infrared radiation properties of slag, generated during steelmaking, are investigated. These activities are undertaken with the aim of attaining a circular economy and environmental sustainability.

礦物材料資源化再利用:

隨著科技日新月異,人類除了享受高科技的便利外,也為地球環境帶來更多亟待處理的科技負產物。有鑑於此,本實驗室秉持著城市採礦的精神,將日常生活中的一些礦物材料資源化再利用,如:將泥岩資源化變成防水塗料、研究煉鋼的副產品--爐渣其遠紅外放射特性…,藉此達到循環經濟,環境永續之目標。
